There is definitely an issue with FF and Flash; depending on the flash app. the browser will either become unstable (like your description, but in various forms) or just crash. I can run the Macromedia Breeze (flash-based) product for about 45 mins before the browser goes out to lunch...depending on how much i interact with it. Yes, happens to me too.
