I have been following your posts closely for some time now, and have recently purchased the N800 IT. I noticed when you opened application manager you had “contacts” installed. I am a non linux user so this has been a great learning experience for me but im having difficulties installing this application as it only comes in a tarball that contains the source code. Do you have a repository that contains the .deb that you can share or possibly a how-to guide you can recommend. At this point any help would be appreciated.

The Contacts app is the GPE Contacts app - http://oss.kernelconcepts.de/maemo/contacts.shtml
Install instructions are there and should be pretty straight forward. Let me know if you need more info…

Thanks Jonathan. I was trying to install a different Contacts application (http://projects.o-hand.com/Home) check it out. They only have the source. I was able to install the GPE version. Any ideas on how to install using the source? Or do i just have to wait?
