I’ve been trying to install a virtual sound driver called Soundflower for quite a few days and running into an installation error each time I’ve tried to get it going. Tonight Google via Dowser (I love that app) led me to Pacifist… worked like a charm!
Pacifist 1.6.3 is a shareware application that opens Mac OS X .pkg package files and allows you to extract individual files and folders out of them. This is useful, for instance, if an application which is installed by the operating system becomes damaged and needs to be reinstalled without the hassle of reinstalling all of Mac OS X.
