Yesterday I received a call on my cell listed as Private which a few people call through with — including my manager. I figured I should answer and when I did I found myself talking to a woman with an island accent who said she found me through Skype! Apparently she does odd jobs and was looking for work.
I did not take her info and promply ended the call… pretty random and unwanted.

To whom it may concern,
I recently tested out the skype software after being asked to check it out by a friend. Unfortunately I used your interface for emailing a few more friends about the product and I’ve received some very irrate demands to never give out emails again due to the amount of spam generated by Skype or third parties. I’d suggest you shut this utility down, demand your affiliates to cease all current spam attacks. Basically by trying to advertise this product I’ve accidentally destroyed a few of my good friends best email addresses.
If you have any reccomendations on how to repair this damage I’d be very interested. There’s got to be some legal consequences for giving out folks email addresses without their permission (remember it was me advertising your software no them signing up to be spammed by every garbage offer in creation).
