I’m not sure what causes this semi-regular bug in Firefox but it’s driving me crazy. Basically every so often Firefox not longer visually responds to mouse or keyboard actions in the main window. If I change tabs, I can see the page name switch at the top of the window, but nothing seems to be happening in the main space. I have to quit the browser and start again… several times per day at least.
I tend to keep Google Reader, GMail and a few others going at all times, but have seen it with just GR open as well. Anyone else get this?
Ha… I had just closed down my window and reopened it because I typing in the search field was doing nothing.
I notice it a lot more on pages with embedded flash.
not sure there’s really any flash happening in my usual experiences… though I generally have a bunch of tabs.
I run the google sync extension and a few greasemonkey scripts as well… nothing too wacky – At least as I can tell.
Yes, happens to me too. There is definitely an issue with FF and Flash; depending on the flash app. the browser will either become unstable (like your description, but in various forms) or just crash. I can run the Macromedia Breeze (flash-based) product for about 45 mins before the browser goes out to lunch…depending on how much i interact with it.
great pic
love it
