play music through iPod to Computer…

don’t ask why you would, but I just realized that when your iPod is connected in manual mode you can hit play and the music there plays through…

Select your iPod from the Source list… you should see the tracks on it. pick one and hit play. This just happened to be by accident actually but after trying it on a few tracks, it really does seem to work. I checked out the same songs in my main library file and they were not playing while the iPod was.

    I noticed a few people have asked about selecting and playing multiple songs. I have just used the shift key to select an album (select the first tune and hold down the shift key and select the last one) from the list available. This then plays the whole album without having to select individual songs. This also works using the control key for just selecting songs not beside each other in the list. I hope this helps.
    A very big Thank You to all the people who have posted here, I would never have been able to get this to work without all the advice above.

    hey when u plug ur ipod in press play and then itll ask u for ur email. u put ur email and password and then u get all ur songs but. it doesnt list em so ur going to need to go through them and pick the ones that u like then u can hear them

    thanks so much, i was sitting here about to erase my ipod because i couldnt play its songs through my computer. then i read this… even if your computer cant sync with your ipod you can still play its songs through the computer! thanks so much! =D

    Manual mode? How do i do that? That would be great. I deleted iTunes because it won't work with the old iPod on the new computer, and I would love to work around it. Thanks!
