  1. That’s a long time to sit in the 12:30 am slot and could possibly mean Jon Stewart gets a head start when he takes over Letterman’s spot in a few years.

  2. It’s been whispered for quite a now and there’s clearly interest from a number of sources to bring Stewart to network. Stewart is signed at comedy central through the next election, but seeing as how both networks are in Viacom’s pocket, it would be short work to get him out of it.
